Z Flex Ruins to Roses Surfskate Fish
The Z Flex Ruins to Roses Surfskate Fish gives you surf-style performance with a distinctive finish. The inner layup of the deck uses Canadian Maple so you get a stiffer natural flex. To this is added a black oak veneer inspired by burnt timber from the iconic Pacific Ocean Pier.
Over the dark oak, gold pinlines and highlights set the board apart as a classic. The 5 ply maple core gives the board stability and strength so you get a good flex response. There’s no surprises in terms of flex, though the board is a little heavier which can be an advantage for carving.
This board is a carver and the Waterborne Surfskate Adapter gives you surf-style performance. You get shorter arc turns with smooth transitions and there’s a good pump response. The arcs are not quite as tight or as snappy as dedicated surfskates that use a spring but you can definitely feel the surfing vibe.
The deck is 31″ by 9 3/4″ at the widest point tapering into a swallow tail. Black powder-coating finishes the hardware which sits on 14mm Z-Flex risers. 63mm 83A Z-SMOOTH wheels, though narrow give a lot of grip so good for drawing out your surfing turns. There’s a spray grip so the deck finish is pristine. Check our full range of Skate gear at Manly Surfboards>Skate
