TLS Drifter Tail Pad

The TLS Drifter Tail Pad is a great performance pad. There’s an extra wide and extra high 10mm arch. The benefit is that you can more easily pivot your foot over your arch for setting up big moves, heel-&-toe and rail to rail surfing.  So if you like arch support you get a lot of it. The rest of the pad is very flat so provides great sensitivity. Your feet can really feel your board under your feet and your power is directly transmitted into your moves. For example moving forward setting up for a barrel you’ll have sensitivity for fine tuned direction changes. The kick is 27mm, this is a good average height, so your foot can really jam against it and drive.

The TLS Drifter Tail Pad has a 3 piece layout which is normally the most functional of all tail pad designs. However the pieces are cut straight so they have to butt up against each other or extend out horizontally. They can’t angle out. So the Drifter pad will suit very wide tail boards or placement farther forward than the tail. A slight incut vee means you can, if it will fit, place this grip closer to the end of your board around your leg rope plug. This in turn allows back foot placement over your back fin so you can maximise your drive.
