SOLAREZ Polyester Mini Travel Kit

The SOLAREZ Polyester Mini Travel Kit gives you everything you need to do minor board repairs. Note, this kit is for PU polyester surfboards, so it’s not for epoxy surfboards. The kit is great for travel as it gives you a waterproof capsule so it’s easy to throw in with your gear or board bag. It keeps all the resin and smell safe and secure.

The kit includes everything needed for a fast high quality repair. You get two different types of resin giving you the best result. For example the white tube Microlite resin is great for filling deeper and larger areas. The yellow tube Fiberfill is a special bubble-free formulation that includes fibreglass reinforcement great for rails, fin box and high strength areas.

A spreader helps with a smooth finish. Multi-grade sandpapers cover everything from ding preparation to your fine finish. There’s also an acetone cleaning pad. The way it works is for shallow dings you use the Microlite and expose to sun for a few minutes. Then put a fine layer of the stronger Fiberfill over the top.

If the ding is deep do several fills with Microlite and expose to the sun each time filling in the hole. Then apply the Fiberfill. If the ding is on the rail, fin boxes, or other high strenght area use Fiberfill directly. This is a super handy kit to give your board a low emmission eco repair.
