Softlite Fin Box Conversion Kit

The Softlite Fin Box Conversion Kit gives you a new level of surfing for your Softboard. Most Softboards have fins that are great for Beginners. They’re soft and safe. However as they’re soft they over-flex in the wave so don’t give you the hold you need for performance moves. With a soft fin, as you push on it to turn it washes out. So this kit enables you to replace your standard Softboard fins with a fin box. In the fin box you can use performance fins. The Kit is designed specifically for Softlite Softboards yet will work with other Softboards too. Check to see if your board has plugs for your fin boxes sticking through the deck. If yes there’s a good chance this conversion kit will work. 3 fins are including in the Kit, however no fins.

The dimensions of the Softlite Fin Box Conversion Kit are 95mm between the holes of the deck screws. Once you’ve got your kit installed you can use performance fins. The new fin boxes have two sets of screw holes. So are designed to secure dual tab fins, also called traditional FCS fins. There’s a huge range of these fins available. If you start by getting stiff fins you’ll immediately notice a great performance increase your board going much faster with more projection on the wave. You can customise your fins at any time. So if you’re a bigger surfer you can try bigger fins. Or you can try Twin Fins just on the side for a fast free feeling. The Kit will add new life so you’ll get a heap of fun from your Softboard.
