The Orca Men’s Wetsuit Base Layer is not a rash vest. It’s a specially designed neoprene top so you get extra warmth. To be worn under your wetsuits as a base layer it’s a great swimming wetsuit accessory. So you’ll get great warmth without the constriction and weight of the alternative of a thicker suit.

Construction is of a super fine 0.5mm Yamamoto neoprene. So even though thin, it’s still neoprene. It’s not a rash top that let’s water freely through. On top of the Orca Men’s Base Layer neoprene is a special SCS coating. This layer reflects cold out and warmth inward. This is a great wetsuit accessory.

Interior Finish

The interior of almost all the top has a soft jersey finish. So this makes it super easy to slide on and off and gives you a plush comfy feel. This Base Layer is form fitting. So it will hug your body. This will reduce any chance of chaffing under your wetsuit and great fit will equate to extra warmth.

The waist of the Base Layer is extra long. So you’ll get warmth and protection to your lower back and other vital areas. An area often not kept warm in wetsuits. The waist lower hem of the Orca Men’s Wetsuit Base Layer has a special gripper panel. This stops the top from riding up under your wetsuit, so keeping its warmth and protection in place.

As a great design feature the underarm panel increases flexibility. So with each stroke you go further faster.
