Island Fin Design Aloha Nui Single Fin

The Island Fin Design Aloha Nui Single Fin is a great looking hatchet style fin. Hatchet refers to the shape that is vertical with a lot of width continuing from the base. Coming from Hawaii it has a beautiful Aloha island print embedded in the heart of the fin. The fin has a striking look achieved with this inlay of artwork. Laid out by hand no two artwork images or fins are exactly alike. The fin core is transparent so the artwork catches the light and looks great. The outer layer in opaque white gives a great offset contrast.

The fin is designed for an adjustable fin box. It has a stub at the rear that slots into the fin box. So it slides in and out and up and down the length of the box. The front end has a screw and tab so the fin is securely fixed in position.

Adjustable Performance

The Island Fin Design Nui Fin adjustment is great as it allows you to try a range of positions in the fin box. Typically the farther back in the box the more carve and down the line your board will feel. The farther towards the front of the box the more loose your board will feel. The design has generous base rising to a generous tip. So you get great down the line drive for the heaviest sections or hold for maximum power. The fin base stays wide right through the mid section to the tip. Used at your tail this fin will be like a rudder great for lining up long walls and drawn out turns. The area in the tip will help nose riding as when it’s stuck in the wave you’ll have plenty of hold even with all your weight up the other end of the board.
