The Futures F6 Alpha Carbon Five Fin Set gives you a great balance between speed and drive. There’ 5 fins in the set. A Future Fins Quad and Thruster setup. The fin size is in the mid range of Future Fins, designed for you as the mid size surfer. The F6 Alpha has a Ride Number of 5.5 so gives you a great balance between speed generation and control. F6 refers to the shape of the fin and it’s between the smaller F4 and bigger F8 template. The F6 base, while not large, gives you good positive drive and power transfer. This moderate base width is carried up the fin so you get a full template giving good drive and hold so it doesn’t wash out.

Extra area in the tip helps the board hold on the rail while carving a turn. Off the top the fin tip loads energy and releases resiliently as needed. The Alpha material is carbon and air uniquely infused in the fin. So it’s not carbon strips like older style application. The carbon particles are varied in density from the base to the tip. So you get a dynamic flex, stiffer to flexier all the way up the fin.

The Future Fins F6 Alpha base is stiffer with more carbon giving super drive. The tip is flexi so you get spontaneous release. All controlled by the carbon density without sacrificing strength. In addition, the Alpha has a new 3D texture featured on the trailing edge. This reduces turbulence and drag so you get speed. The fin is noticeably fast and super light too. Lighter than honeycomb. The Future Fins Quad setup is ideal as the Alpha has more flex so you get great drive in the first part of your turn then flex and release coming out avoiding tracking.

The fins feature the Futures Truss Base reduces weight. Designed to break under impact the truss reduces the risk of injury or board damage.
