Futures F4 Alpha Carbon Quad Fin Set

The Futures F4 Alpha Carbon Quad Fin Set is full featured and high tech. The set includes four fins. So you get two front fins and two rear Quad fins. The F4 is for smaller waves. The F4 base, while not large, is a little bigger than that of smaller fins. This gives you good positive drive and power transfer. At the tip the template is full so you get more drive. This fullness also equates to speed as the fin holds well in the wave face so you can direct water flow. Extra area in the tip helps the board hold on the rail while carving a turn. Off the top the thinner fin tip releases resiliently as needed. But it is not unpredictable or squirty, it has a solid feel.

Alpha

The Alpha material consists of carbon and air uniquely infused in the fin. So it’s not carbon strips like older style application. The carbon particles can be varied in density from the base to the tip. So the base is stiffer with more carbon giving super drive. The tip is flexi so you get spontaneous release. It’s all controlled by the carbon density  in a power gradient. So you get smoothly controlled performance under your foot. Without sacrificing strength. In addition, the Alpha has a new 3D texture featured on the trailing edge. This reduces turbulence and drag so you get speed. The fin is noticeably fast and super light. Lighter than honeycomb. The fins feature the Futures Truss Base.
