Description
Futures Craig Anderson Fiberglass Single Fin
The Futures Craig Anderson Fiberglass Single Fin is the signature model of Ando the progressive stylist. Coming to fame for his laid back nonchalant approach to big rides with air moves this is the fin Ando uses for his mellow surfing. Designed for his 6’8 surfboard this fin gives you balanced performance. It’s upright as it comes off the base. This will help you pivot as you drive so you can do fairly short arc turns. The base width is about the same as a keel so you’ll get a fair amount of drive . While area is maintained up the fin, the shape tends to backward sweep. This gives you projection for longer turns. So you end up with a balanced feel of a power turn smoothed out.
The Futures Craig Anderson Fiberglass Single Fin area remains wider almost through to the tip. So you get a lot of hold. It also means you’ll get a great flowing off the top with the sweep pushing you down the line. It’s a versatile fin being able to perform in your Mid Length, Longboard and Mini-Mal. As a single fin it has enough area to give a positive drivey feel. With Side Bites you may get tracking so check placement. Start with it placed toward the rear away from your side fins. Construction is fibreglass so you get the best all-round flex and response characteristics. The fin feature’s a slide-able lock system so placement can be exactly where you want.
This fin comes with the Futures Truss Base so it’s light. The base is designed to break under impact so the risk of injury or board damage is reduced. To find out more on how Futures can power your surfing check here: Future fins – Surf Better
