The Future Fins K2 Keel Alpha Carbon Twin are a super enhancement of the classic keel design. Futures has made this old school design more performance oriented. They’ve reduced height so reducing drag and giving you improved maneuverability. There’s still advanced projection from the swept back rake and heaps of drive from the massive area. You get 50% more area than from a standard medium sized thruster side fin. So when you push on this fin it harnesses the wave energy to project you. Unlike other high area keel fins these will more easily carve into turns as they don’t have as much depth. So they don’t tend to track as much. You can jam into big direction changes and feel your board come around with you.

Construction of the Future Fins K2 Keel Alpha Carbon Twin is of Alpha Carbon. The Alpha material adds another dimension so you get more liveliness, flex and less weight. This means the fin will flex loading up and holding energy as you go into turns and release giving you a boost on the way out. The Alpha finish includes texture on the rear edge of the fin so you get reduced drag and enhanced flow and speed. The Alpha Carbon material is made from recycled fishing nets so you you get an eco benefit. The fins feature the Futures Truss Base so they are light. Designed to break under impact the truss reduces the risk of injury or board damage. The set is a two fin set only, there is no trailer fin.
