FCS II Reactor PC Quad Rear Fin Set

The FCS II Reactor PC Quad Rear Fin Set is designed to add to your existing FCS II setup. It consists of two rear Quad fins that working with your existing side Thruster fins will turn your board into a Quad charger. Quads give you more extension out onto the wave face. You’ll feel more momentum and drive with the ability to do longer drawn out turns. Especially good for long open waves this set can also help you charge shifting beach breaks. It’s good for barrels and fast sections. That’s because the template is upright and foil flat so you can get fast pivot and response and tight radius turns. You can go for the lip or pull hard into cutbacks in quick moves, the fins allowing you to pivot rather than draw out turns down the line. FCS advise all these Reactor features work together so you get greater control in the pocket and for punting airs.

Performance Construction

PC refers to the construction of the fin, Performance Core, that has the feel of a traditional fibreglass with the added performance of reduced weight. You’ll perform your best with these fins in punchy beach break waves. This fin is designed to give you the best performance from your shortboard with lower flatter rocker. The Reactor was originally similar to a fin ridden by Kelly Slater. The side fins have a wide base, are wider overall and have a more upright template. So they give your surfing more vertical performance. Adding these quad rears will give you the ability to both draw out your turns and still do short arc turns depending on where you place your feet. With placement forward you’ll drive more. With placement of your foot right over them you’ll go more vertical. Note, the FCS II Reactor PC Quad Rear Set is for exclusive use with the FCS II Fin System and will not fit in the traditional FCS Dual Plug System.
