ECS Purple Haze Surfboard

The ECS Purple Haze Surfboard gives you high speed performance surfing. It does this by giving you optimised features. The board has extra volume so instead of sitting low in the water and having a struggle to get on waves and getting bogged on the wave, you sit a little higher. Paddling is easier so you enter the wave with speed. Once on the wave you’re riding high harnessing maximum wave power for high speed power moves. This volume comes in the form of a wider nose, wider overall outline and fuller rails. So that you still get good maneuverability the wide outline has a hip towards the tail. The hip gives you a break point to help turns, so you can jam into big direction changes. The tail narrows so you get bite to drive on the wave face.  The tail finishes in a deep cut swallow. So as you can get the board on rail and have all the hold and control you need in full and sucky waves.

High Speed Surfing

The ECS Purple Haze Surfboard bottom shape is also optimised for speed. There’s a single concave that gives you great flow on the wave. This blends into a double concave through the fins that gives a speed boost each time you go into and out of a  turn. The result is that you get continual speed. The nose entry rocker is fairly flat making catching waves easy. The tail rocker is more pronounced helping you get the board on rail and do good solid turns. Coming only with FCS II fin boxes, 5 fins are included giving you great options to cover a variety of wave types. The 3 fin Thruster setup is great for carving top to bottom surfing suckier waves. The 4 fin Quad setup gives you an edge in fast down the line waves or fuller conditions where you want more flow. You can also go a 5 fin setup with a small rear to really mix it up with super control. This is a great all round design for Beginner surfers or for cruising and focusing on enjoying your surfing.
