Dion Hatch Fin

The Dion Hatch Fin is a fin for your longboard to be used in a single adjustable fin box. At the rear the fin has a lug and at the front as a screw position. So this fin setup allows you to adjust the fin up and down the box providing a variable number of position and performance options. The fin is a Hatchet fin. This means the fin is an upright fin. So the fin template does not curve much. The thickness at the base carries up almost the same to the tip. This gives the fin a lot of area, hold and drive. This hatchet style fin maximises your nose riding. The fin characteristics give you hold. So while your weight is up at the nose, the fin has enough area to hold the tail of your board in without sliding. This area also helps the fin drive so you can still turn and have control even when your weight is not over the fin. You can still turn as the vertical nature of the fin makes it good for pivoting. It will go top to bottom in short arc turns. It’s not as well suited to longer arc turns so check another fin for that style of surfing. Please note design may differ from that shown.
