The Creatures Jay Davies Tail Pad is the signature grip of a Pro. The pad is flat and thin and features a large number of holes. So you get super sensitivity, responsiveness and traction. Your toes can really grip into the holes. The flat of the pad goes straight into the rise of the kick. So your foot naturally butts against the kick aiding positive drive. The tail has a massive 35mm kick that flattens out on top. So there’s a flat edge you can get the side of your foot on and really push on. The kick is so high your foot can’t miss it.

The pad has a 3 piece layout which is the most functional of all tail pad designs. The side pieces can be placed closer to the rails so narrow and wide tail boards get good coverage. A vee incut means you can place this grip closer to the end of your board, around your leg rope plug. This in turn allows back foot placement over your back fin so you get maximum drive. The grip features a Square-Loc II pattern with two tiers of squares. So you get maximum traction as your toes have two levels to grip into.
