Balin Tie Down Straps with Neoprene Protector
Balin Tie Down Straps with Neoprene Protector are a great surf accessory to have on hand. They’re made of quality components. You use them to tie down your surfboard, SUP, longboard, in fact almost anything, to the roof of your car. The tie downs come with thick webbing so you get substantial hold. The 20mm width is ideal to throw over your car and get a good strong pull down to secure your boards. If the strap webbing is too thin it’s too flimsy and your gear can move. If the webbing’s too wide it can twist up and getting it threaded in the buckles can be problematic. Especially at night or in the cold. Balin’s strap width is just right.
The Balin Tie Down Straps have a great feature. Soft neoprene protection covers the metal buckles. The neoprene is the same material used for your wetsuit construction. So you can get your buckles over to the other side of your car roof without worrying about scratching the paint or banging on the window glass. The buckles are metal so they’re long wearing and strong. They’re way more durable than plastic buckles, less likely to break or have slippage. There’s also a toggle system so that extra strap length can be secured and not left flapping around. The Balin Tie Down Straps come in two lengths, 2.4m and 3.6m. These length options will cover everything from your single board, to quiver, mate’s boards and bigger SUPs and paddleboards.
